Appointments

In line with Welsh Government guidance concerning Access standards within Primary Care, we would like patients to be fully aware of the process for booking appointments.

Appointments are necessary for all services offered by the practice (ie GP, Nurses, phlebotomists, pharmacist, counsellors).  We do not run a walk in option at any of our site. Below is a summary of the type of appointments offered and then how they can be booked.

Booking Appointments

We offer several ways to book and manage your appointments:

  • Patient Partner (Automated Telephone Service) – Available 24/7, 365 days a year.
  • NHS App - a convenient way to manage your medication and appointments.
  • e-Consult (via our website) – An online service for non-urgent queries. Simply click “Get Started” on our website to submit your request. A GP will review it and respond by the end of the next working day. If a face-to-face or video appointment is needed, you’ll be offered a slot within 24 hours, 1 week, or 2 weeks depending on the GP’s decision.
  • Via our reception team - Call the practice by telephone or pop into a branch.

Types of Appointments

  • Pre-bookable appointments – released twice daily, available 2–6 weeks in advance.
  • Nurse and HCA appointments – available up to 13 weeks ahead.
  • Telephone Consultations – Speak with a GP if you don’t feel a face-to-face appointment is needed.
  • Routine appointments – book via Patient Partner, the NHS Wales App, or by calling our reception team.
  • Same-day options – limited number of routine appointments, acute appointments (triaged by the on-call GP), home visits, telephone consultations, and results appointments.

Please note: appointment availability may vary.

Cancellations

If you can’t attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the slot to someone else.

The NHS Wales App is downloadable from your app store and is a convenient way to support the management of your health.

  • Registration is quick and easy, either via video on the app or with help from our staff.
